What is Gynecomastia?
Gynecomastia is a condition where male breast tissue becomes enlarged. It’s caused by an imbalance between the hormones estrogen and testosterone and can occur at any age — from teenage years to adulthood.
Although gynecomastia itself is usually harmless, it can lead to discomfort, tenderness, and self-consciousness. Many men choose to correct this with treatments like liposuction or gland removal surgery for a flatter, firmer chest.
Liposuction Technique
Procedure: Tiny incisions are made around the chest. A cannula is inserted to suction out the excess fat. Scarring: Minimal — tiny incisions hidden in natural creases. Recovery Time: Return to work in 3-5 days. Light activity after 1-2 weeks. Full recovery & gym after 4-6 weeks.
Excision Technique
Procedure: Small incisions around the areola to remove glandular breast tissue. Scarring: Well-hidden around the areola border. Recovery Time: Return to work in 5-7 days. Swelling and bruising improve in 2-3 weeks. Avoid heavy lifting for 4-6 weeks.
Combined (Liposuction + Excision)
Recovery Time: Back to light activities in 7-10 days. Normal activity within 4-6 weeks.
